About the Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our healthcare data entry team, you will play a critical role in processing various medical documents, extracting data, and entering it into our electronic database. This is a 4-6 month contract position, offering a competitive hourly rate of $16/hr, with the opportunity to work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. A Day in the Role As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your day will be filled with a variety of challenging and rewarding tasks, including: Processing independent medical reviews and other medical documents, extracting relevant data, and entering it into our electronic database via Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word. Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion. Utilizing critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information. Providing exceptional customer service and client coordination over the phone, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment, meeting productivity and quality standards, and continuously improving processes and procedures. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively. High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics, reading, and writing. Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a focus on meeting productivity and quality standards. Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn new software applications and systems. Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated computer or laptop (no Chromebooks), with a secure and quiet workspace. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Post-secondary education in a related field, such as healthcare administration, medical records, or health information management. Certification in medical records or health information management, such as CMRS or RHIT. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare software applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
