Key Responsibilities Assist our physician with procedures and manage administrative tasks, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care. Provide comprehensive patient education on medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, empowering patients to take an active role in their health. Handle scheduling, patient onboarding, and manage medical records efficiently, utilizing medical software and technology to streamline processes. Engage in patient communication, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and care, and responding to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain rigorous standards of confidentiality and patient privacy, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Support the physician in delivering high-level operational and clinical standards, contributing to the success of our practice. Monitor and report changes in patient conditions and update the healthcare team accordingly, ensuring timely and effective interventions. Manage patient charts to ensure information completeness and compliance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Participate in telemedicine calls and manage alternating weeks of patient visits and administrative support, leveraging technology to facilitate remote care. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School diploma or GED; some college or medical training is preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is strongly preferred, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field. Proven experience in a healthcare or medical specialty, with a solid understanding of medical tasks, medical terminology, and patient communication. Proficiency in using medical software like Calendly, Zoom, online prescription systems, and patient management platforms, with the ability to adapt to new technologies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Demonstrated professionalism and ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and discretion, maintaining patient confidentiality and trust. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued: 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care. Experience in Endocrinology or Holistic Medicine, with a deep understanding of the specialty and its unique requirements. Location in Austin, TX, although not required, as we're open to remote candidates from diverse locations.
