Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Customer Service Representative to provide top-notch phone support to our hospitals and patients. As a key member of our call center team, you will be responsible for handling billing inquiries, clarifying patient questions, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Provides exceptional phone support: Handles calls from hospitals about billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the satisfaction of our customers. Assists patients effectively: Clarifies patient questions, provides accurate information, and ensures that patients receive the support they need to navigate our healthcare services. Problem-solving champion: Works through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary to ensure that all problems are resolved efficiently and effectively. Data entry specialist: Maintains accurate patient records by inputting information into our computer system, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and accurate. Connects callers seamlessly: Routes incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company, ensuring that all customers receive the support they need in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Experience working in a call center with a healthcare background, preferably in medical claims and/or insurance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, research solutions, and implement effective resolutions. Proficiency in data entry, with the ability to maintain accurate patient records and input information into our computer system. Experience with Epic Software is highly preferred, as well as bi-lingual skills. Ability to undergo a criminal background check, provide proof of high school diploma, GED, or transcripts, and complete a drug screen testing (testing for THC as well). High-speed internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speed, with the ability to hardwire via Ethernet cable. Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance, including a workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer. Ability to work independently : Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with minimal supervision, while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
