As a Medical Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a vital role in organizing and scheduling home health visits for our patients, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of care. Job Overview and Summary We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide scheduling support to our Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for clerical, scheduling, and project-based work, projecting a professional company image through remote phone interactions. Experience in a medical office setting and patient scheduling is essential for this role. The primary objective of the Scheduling Coordinator is to schedule patients for treatment services, ensuring that the patient schedule operates at its most productive level, meeting agency goals and expectations while creating the best patient experience. Key Responsibilities and Duties Understand and adhere to established Agency policies and procedures Responsible for scheduling and coordination of direct care personnel Answer telephones and transfer calls appropriately Participate in the coordination of Agency services with other community agencies as needed Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information Develop a cooperative relationship and communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, co-workers, and referral sources Create and modify scheduling using the Agency's computer system Participate in maintenance and distribution of staff weekly schedules, as required Support staff in assigned project-based work Perform other or alternate job functions assigned by supervisory personnel Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills Knowledge of a variety of computer software skills and telephone protocol Professional verbal and written communication skills Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED Great organizational skills Good people skills Healthcare experience is a significant plus, but not required Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in medical scheduling or a related field Familiarity with home health care services and operations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time management and prioritization skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
