About the Role: Remote Pharmacist for Cardinal Health Pharmacy Services This is an exciting remote opportunity with an immediate start, requiring a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. As a Remote Pharmacist for Cardinal Health Pharmacy Services, you will be part of our Closed Door Pharmacy in Dublin, OH, and contribute to the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of our pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care, and alternate site facilities. Key Responsibilities: Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification Physician and nursing consultations to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care Clinical medication dosing services, including monitoring, dosing, and reviewing patient medication therapy Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations Essential Qualifications: Active pharmacy license(s) in the state of residence as well as the state of original licensure Active Ohio license, with a willingness to gain additional licensure Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems Excellent communication skills to enable successful interactions with other healthcare professionals Preferred Qualifications: 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice Skills and Competencies Required for Success: Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity, identifying possible solutions to technical problems and taking action to resolve Applies judgment within defined parameters, receiving general guidance and more detailed instruction on new projects Sound reasoning and accuracy in work, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Cardinal Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
