Our team is passionate about making a difference in our customers' lives, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey. **Job Summary** As a Retail Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers. You will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, moving boxes and equipment, stocking materials, managing the production queue and output, managing complex projects, managing retail supply, and completing assigned tasks based on priority. **Key Responsibilities** * Deliver exceptional customer service and support to our customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs * Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate blithequark products and services * Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information * Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels * Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents * Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store * Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change * Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability * Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage * Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste * Complete required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits * Follow blithequark standard operating procedures as well as adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies and procedures **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent education * 6+ months of specialized experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods * Ability to move and lift 55 pounds * Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees * Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members * Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction * Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure * Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time * Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision * Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the blithequark business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment * Knowledge of printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines * Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * High school diploma or equivalent education * 6+ months of specialized experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate: $18.55 - $21.81/hour * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Opportunities to work with a diverse range of customers and colleagues **How to Apply** If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch service in a fast-paced retail environment, we want to hear from you!
