As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and support, from the moment they walk into our store to the moment they leave with their purchases. **Job Summary:** As an Experienced Retail Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. You will be knowledgeable in all areas of the store's business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, coordinating activities in the store, providing pricing and product information, and recommending appropriate blithequark products and services. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide exceptional customer service by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs * Demonstrate expertise in printing, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines and recommend appropriate blithequark products and services * Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information * Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels * Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents * Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment * Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change * Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability * Stay current on retail store merchandising materials and ensure proper display of all retail area product and signage * Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste * Complete required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent education * 6+ months of specialized experience in a retail environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods * Ability to move and lift 55 pounds * Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees * Ability, on a consistent basis, to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members * Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction * Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure * Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time * Ability, on a consistent basis, to work with minimal supervision * Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the blithequark business **Preferred Qualifications:** * Previous experience in a retail customer service role * Knowledge of printing, signs & graphics, and shipping product lines * Ability to work in a team environment and provide training to other team members * Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment * Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team environment and provide training to other team members * Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and shipping equipment * Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure * Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment * Ability to process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS) **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** As a Retail Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
