Role Snapshot Location: Remote (with potential for in-person collaboration) Start Date: Immediate openings available Position: RTI Teacher (part-time, 1-year contract) Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced RTI Teacher to provide high-quality instructional support to students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will utilize the RTI and PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports) models to deliver district-approved curriculum and materials. The RTI Teacher will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that promote student learning and achievement. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement RTI interventions and supports for students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to identify and address student learning gaps Utilize data and assessment results to inform instructional decisions and interventions Provide high-quality instructional support to students, including small group and one-on-one instruction Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and contribute to school-wide initiatives Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and students Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reports Other duties as assigned Requirements Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field State of Alaska Type A teacher certification (or equivalent) Experience with RTI and PBS models Strong knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education or related field Experience with diverse learning populations (e.g., English language learners, students with disabilities) Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools Experience with data analysis and assessment Skills and Competencies Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret educational periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures Ability to write reports, educational correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff, students, parents, and community members Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables Problem-Solving and Project Management Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Ability to gather and analyze information, develop alternative solutions, and work collaboratively with others Ability to develop and coordinate projects, communicate project plans, and manage project activities and teams Interpersonal Skills and Teamwork Ability to focus on solving conflict and not blaming Ability to maintain confidentiality, listen to others, and keep emotions under control Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views, and contribute to building a positive team spirit Work Environment and Company Culture We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
