Experienced Senior Data Science Analyst – E-commerce Data Analysis and Insights Generation

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Query and Recommendations Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with large datasets to inform our product recommendation guide and collaborate with a high-performing team of engineers, AI engineers/data scientists, and product managers who are at the forefront of the product recommendation space. Key Responsibilities Design, run, and analyze the results of A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms and systems, as well as develop new testing and test analysis methodologies Develop and maintain KPI reporting and monitoring tools, including anomaly detection tools and advanced estimation approaches Conduct exploratory data analysis (e.g., clustering/segmentation) to generate new insights and inform our product recommendation guide Utilize and develop our in-house automated tools, such as a QA tool to better understand the performance of our new algorithms before A/B testing them Run unconditional exploratory data analysis to identify groundbreaking ideas and potential opportunities Design and run A/B tests of our latest recommendations algorithms Proactively monitor our recommendation models to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve Build new tools that enable us to be more efficient and effective Work closely and build strong relationships with our product, engineering, and AI partners Communicate key insights and recommendations to cross-functional executive leaders across the organization Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Analysis or Data Science experience with e-commerce organizations is a strong plus In-depth experience with SQL (full capabilities, query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flash, etc.), required In-depth experience with Python and Python tools (Jupyter notebooks, functions, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, etc.), required Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business independent direction, highly preferred Knowledge and experience using machine learning algorithms/procedures (decision trees, random forest, deep learning, etc.) within a business setting, highly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative person, highly cooperative mindset Ability to collaborate and proactively communicate with stakeholders Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results, thriving in a fast-paced environment Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities along with problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and tools Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
