Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Engineering and Operations Excellence to join our team at blithequark. As a seasoned professional in logistics and operations, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing global systems, processes, and decision science tools to reduce operating costs, increase revenues and profitability, and enhance service levels for our internal and external customers. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive business excellence initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that our operations are aligned with our strategic objectives and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute global frameworks, processes, and decision science tools to drive business excellence and operational efficiency Provide leadership and guidance to promote the human support benefit philosophy and enable the growth and development of colleagues Support the continued expansion of global Quality Driven Management (QDM) to ensure continuous improvement drives and support activities in enhancing service levels, profitability, and compliance Establish preventive measures to ensure compliance and systems capability as designed, and that business continuity plans are in place and effective Ensure that customer commitments are quantifiably measured and reported, and that continuous improvement tools are utilized to target areas where customer retention is at risk Lead and manage a team of professionals, including selecting, training, and developing staff to create a culture that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence Drive the development and maintenance of work procedures, best practices, and job standards to ensure the safety of our employees and the public, promote compliance, and maximize productivity Collaborate with global partners to drive cross-regional marketing and process standardization Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree preferred Four or more years of experience in managing and leading high-performing teams, improving processes, and transforming business operations Proven expertise in driving performance, management, and coordination of global logistics and transportation systems Strong industry knowledge, demonstrated successful management experience, human relations, and interpersonal skills required Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or other ASQ continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., blithequark QDM Master) are strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications Agile, PMP, or similar certification strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in change management and project management, driving functional excellence and continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional operations Experience in managing and implementing global cargo management systems (e.g., CargoWise) and standardizing system design and usage in accordance with global processes, internal policies, and methods, and global regulatory requirements Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
