About the Launch and Product Marketing Team The Launch and Product Marketing team is a newly established team within Airbnb, responsible for building impactful launch and product marketing pages for Guests and Hosts. As a Staff Web UX Engineer on this team, you will play a crucial role in driving the full lifecycle of new launch and product marketing projects, working closely with Design partners to brainstorm, prototype, develop, and deploy innovative animated experiences. The team is part of the Client Products & Emerging Tech organization, which focuses on building impactful product features for Airbnb's Guests and Hosts using new and existing technologies. Your key responsibilities will include: Exploring, shaping, and developing new launch and product marketing experiences alongside cross-functional partners, from ideation to implementation at scale Driving launch and product marketing projects that emphasize responsive and dynamic motion experiences Developing prototypes to validate ideas while proactively considering long-term implications on technical design and architecture Implementing animated and responsive pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and translating prototypes to high-quality, scalable, and maintainable production code through iterative development Partnering with MarTech and other engineering teams to integrate new features that impact different areas within the product Writing unit and integration tests, and reviewing other's code to ensure the highest standards of quality and excellence Your Expertise To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a unique combination of technical skills, creative flair, and collaboration abilities. The ideal candidate will have: 9+ years of software development experience, or 2-4+ years with an advanced degree Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript Strong expertise in implementing animations using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for web Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Preact, Angular, Next, Vue, or Meteor A passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through planning and scoping to implementation and experimental A/B testing Driving adoption of industry standards for building user interfaces, including accessibility, internationalization, performance optimization, SEO, cross-browser compatibility, and caching Experience scaling and architecting CSS across multiple projects and products A passion for building interactive and delightful user experiences Your Location This position is US-Remote Eligible, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States (except for certain states where Airbnb is not registered). The base pay range for this role is $204,000 - $259,000 USD, depending on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
