About the Student Success Coach Role The Student Success Coach position at arenaflex is designed to provide comprehensive support to students throughout their educational journey. As a coach, you will be responsible for empowering students to strive for academic excellence, overcome obstacles, and develop the skills necessary to become lifelong learners. Your role will involve working closely with each student, challenging, motivating, supporting, and encouraging them to achieve more than they thought possible. This position offers the unique opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home office, with a structured schedule that defines a 40-hour workweek, accommodating various time zones to support our diverse student body. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students. Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program via proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop skills and knowledge for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on utilizing resources to maximize student success, including becoming a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support. Act as a liaison between students and various departments, facilitating connections and resolving issues efficiently. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, with the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant and professional phone manner. A strong customer support focus, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a remote work environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Familiarity with student information systems and educational software. Certification in resume writing or career coaching, such as the Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) designation. Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
