Job Overview: Substitute Teacher As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. We're looking for educators who are passionate about making a difference in students' lives and are committed to providing high-quality instruction. Key Responsibilities: Provide instructional support to students in the absence of the regular teacher Deliver lessons and activities as planned by the regular teacher or as assigned by the school administration Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment Build relationships with students, teachers, and school staff Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback and develop your skills Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your teaching practices Essential Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits NJ Substitute Credential Background check & TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!) Full COVID-19 vaccination Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or in a related role Special education experience or certification Experience working with diverse student populations Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Empathetic nature and a growth mindset Commitment to putting students first and being the best educator you can be What We Offer: Competitive Pay & Benefits At Scoot Education, we offer competitive pay rates, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments.
