Job Overview The Supply Chain Operations Technician role is a critical component of Ochsner Health's logistics and inventory management team. As a 3rd shift technician, you will be responsible for processing and distributing supplies and equipment to various hospital departments, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Process and distribute supplies and equipment to various hospital departments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Maintain accurate inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and conduct year-end inventories Inspect and receive deliveries, verifying the accuracy of shipments and reporting any discrepancies Organize delivery carts, maintain delivery logs, and ensure that all deliveries are properly documented Collaborate with internal and external customers to address their needs and provide exceptional service Perform general housekeeping duties in assigned areas, maintaining a clean and safe working environment Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required No prior work experience is required, but experience in a materials management or healthcare environment is preferred Valid driver's license is required if operating a company vehicle Forklift certification is required if working at the Warehouse District Row location within 30 days of hire Supply chain or inventory management certification(s) are preferred Skills and Competencies: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competencies: Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers Ability to work flexible schedules, including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability Ability to travel throughout and between facilities, as required Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: Ochsner Health is committed to the growth and development of its employees.
