This role involves performing modeling of data center environments, requiring excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills. Key responsibilities include: Performing measurements and calculations necessary to model data center environments in an in-house data center management system, utilizing analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate and solve complex problems. Obtaining data from various systems, performing data transformation as necessary in tools such as Microsoft Excel to import into an in-house data center management system, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis and management. Serving as a subject matter expert for assigned products/projects, capable of performing demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to both internal stakeholders and external customers, showcasing excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working directly with end customer representatives to understand their organization at all facets (business model, processes, and users) and translating their requirements for the internal software development team, as necessary, highlighting a customer-first ideology and ability to drive customer delight. Engaging actively in the software development lifecycle for the system, performing quality assurance activities as required to ensure quality product delivery, and demonstrating a positive team spirit with collaboration, feedback, mentoring, and coaching. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following essential qualifications: MS Office 365 experience, specifically Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex data transformations and analyses. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment, showcasing self-starter capabilities and adaptability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems, yet biased to action and delivery. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Knowledge of the Data Center and/or Telecommunications industry, providing a deeper understanding of the project context and requirements. Experience performing take off measurements from drawings, and prior experience reviewing technical drawings such as electrical drawings, floor plans, and cable tray layout diagrams, demonstrating familiarity with data center infrastructure and design. Experience obtaining scaled measurements using tools such as BlueBeam Revu, Fox It PDF, and/or Adobe, highlighting proficiency in specialized software and technologies.
