About the Role As a Virtual Customer Service Advisor at blithequark, you will be the frontline ambassador for our patients, guarantors, and third-party representatives, handling inbound and outbound calls to address account inquiries, resolve issues, and secure payments on outstanding balances. This role demands a unique blend of empathy, communication skills, and technical proficiency, as you will navigate multiple account systems and applications to provide timely and effective solutions. Your ability to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this position. Key Responsibilities: Communicate with customers via phone or digital media to gather necessary information and resolve inquiries in accordance with our policies and procedures. Review patient account information across multiple systems, perform research as needed, and take appropriate actions to resolve patient inquiries and account balances. Document patient inquiries and actions taken in the appropriate systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our guidelines. Update or add insurance information and/or patient demographic information, request rebills, and work with patients and guarantors to secure payments using secured methods. Escalate patient complaints to the relevant individual or department, based on the nature of the issue, to ensure prompt resolution and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction. Create a positive patient experience by actively listening, understanding, and communicating in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues. Follow all blithequark Customer Service Organization (CSO) guidelines and policies, adhering to compliance requirements and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow, systems, and tools used in the department. Meet and maintain established departmental performance metrics for production and quality, continuously striving for excellence in your role. Qualifications and Requirements To excel as a Virtual Customer Service Advisor at blithequark, you should possess: Minimum one year of customer service experience in a related field, such as healthcare, hospitality, retail sales, or client management. Previous call center experience, preferably in a healthcare environment, is highly desirable. High-speed internet with a minimum of 25 MB download and 6 MB upload speed is required for virtual employees, with WiFi not permitted. A strong passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a virtual setting, maintaining productivity and focus in a home-based environment. Residence within a blithequark market area is mandatory for this role. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with multiple account systems and applications. Knowledge of healthcare billing and revenue cycle management principles. Certifications in customer service or a related field are a plus.
