As a key member of our virtual urgent care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, collaborating with our clinical team to ensure seamless patient care, and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records. Key Responsibilities As a Virtual Urgent Care Patient Services Associate, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: Providing exceptional virtual customer service to all patients, responding to their inquiries, and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Providing prompt, professional, and friendly front-line support for technical and non-urgent clinical issues, ensuring that patients receive accurate and reliable information. Communicating lab and imaging results, medication refills, and provider referrals to patients and their families in a clear and concise manner. Reviewing schedules to ensure accuracy and filling appointments in accordance with our scheduling guidelines. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments in accordance with our scheduling guidelines, ensuring that patients receive timely and convenient access to care. Reconciling patient visits daily, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded and updated. Ensuring consent forms are complete and accurate, including assisting patients in completing consent forms. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines at all times. Escalating concerns to Operations leadership and offering suggestions for improvement, ensuring that our team is always learning and growing. Meeting and exceeding assigned individual and departmental goals, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and quality care. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Associates degree, medical office, or medical assistant degree required. Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Proven ability to multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Healthcare experience in Medical, Dental, or Behavioral Health preferred. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word preferred. Bilingual skills, Spanish speaking, a plus. Remote workers must live and work in the United States, with the ability to work in a quiet, professional virtual environment. Physical Requirements/Work Environment As a Virtual Urgent Care Patient Services Associate, you will be working in a remote setting, with the following physical requirements and work environment: Virtual hours will vary, with schedules ranging from Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, and Saturdays, 8am-4pm. Minimal physical effort required, with the ability to operate a computer and telephone continuously. Must have a quiet, professional virtual environment and technical set-up in coordination with our IT department.
