Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst within BCG's Commercial Finance Team, you will manage financial aspects of client cases, provide analysis, and support business objectives while collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Using and championing ClientView which digitizes and streamlines our pipeline, case opening, contracting, invoicing, and case reporting processes Evaluating case economics, including project budgeting, forecasting, accounting, variance analysis, and price realization Provide financial analysis on project, client, and practice area levels Assists in measuring results and ensures invoicing, revenue recognition processes are followed Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business objectives and act as thought partner to internal customers (case teams, Managing Directors & Partners, Finance Director, others) Prepare materials/content on key financial metrics for Practice area Collaborates with a transaction support team in Costa Rica to ensure accuracy across invoicing, code opening, contract compliance and collection efforts Supports client team, regional and external auditor requests Participates in ad hoc reporting requests as well as supports regional and global initiatives as needed Completes weekly review and reporting of work-in-progress, accounts receivable, collections and absorptions to ensure timely and accurate processing and revenue reporting Reviews contracts to ensure terms and potential risks are captured and reported correctly Act as a thought partner for Managing Directors and Partners to help lead business forward on multiple dimensions Comfort with ambiguity and ability to effectively multi-task, make tradeoffs, take initiative, and prioritize within a fast-paced, demanding environment Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to cooperate with people at all levels and build positive, lasting relationships Teaming with multiple stakeholder groups to understand business objectives and ensure efficient financial processes Collaborating with a wide variety of business partners, including other functions, internal teams across BCG, and the firm’s corporate office Creating and evolving insightful, efficient reporting in response to business needs Managing and taking ownership for all financial aspects of case management Completing and responding to ad hoc requests in a timely manner Ensuring adoption of finance policies and highlighting potential risks Supporting regional leadership and other key customers by performing analysis and effectively communicating key takeaways and recommendations Providing training to internal customers Performing other duties as assigned or required Skills 1-3 years relevant work experience Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics Proactive, self-starter with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness Creates positive and productive work environment and values contribution of others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and attentiveness to accuracy Commitment to improving and learning new topics and skills; receptive to feedback Ability to structure, plan, manage, and prioritize projects effectively Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel and PPT MBA a plus Experience in professional services environment a plus Experience with Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau a plus Benefits Zero dollar ($0) health insurance premiums for BCG employees, spouses, and children Low $10 (USD) copays for trips to the doctor, urgent care visits and prescriptions for generic drugs Dental coverage, including up to $5,000 in orthodontia benefits Vision insurance with coverage for both glasses and contact lenses annually Reimbursement for gym memberships and other fitness activities Fully vested Profit Sharing Retirement Fund contributions made annually, whether you contribute or not, plus the option for employees to make personal contributions to a 401(k) plan Paid Parental Leave and other family benefits such as elective egg freezing, surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement Generous paid time off including 12 holidays per year, an annual office closure between Christmas and New Years, and 15 vacation days per year (earned at 1.25 days per month) Paid sick time on an as needed basis Employees, spouses, and children are covered at no cost.
