The Arizona Supreme Court is seeking a Financial Specialist I to perform a variety of complex financial and accounting responsibilities essential to the daily operations of the Administrative Office of the Courts. This role involves monitoring compliance, providing accounting support, and ensuring quality customer service while managing financial transactions. Responsibilities Perform a variety of complex financial and accounting responsibilities essential to the daily operations of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) Routine monitoring for compliance with established policies and procedures Provide accounting and administrative support to Financial Office managers Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers, including auditors Prepare, review, verify and process accounting transactions, including purchase requisitions, claims, journal entries, revenue deposits, program disbursements, revenue/expense transfers Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service Skills Training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance Demonstrable track record of reliability and excellent performance in a finance setting Attention to detail Time management skills Ability to prioritize high volume of work to meet recurring deadlines Ability to use automated spreadsheets and other fiscal record keeping systems Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Experience in the governmental sector specifically relating to the finance and accounting arena Benefits Accrued vacation pay and sick leave 10 paid holidays per year Health and dental insurance Retirement plan Life insurance and long-term disability insurance Optional employee benefits include short-term disability insurance, deferred compensation plans, and supplemental life insurance By providing the option of a full-time or part-time remote work schedule, employees enjoy improved work/life balance, report higher job satisfaction, and are more productive.
