Fixed Income Analyst
Job Description: • Provide analytical support, technical assistance and software training for new and existing clients in both North America and Europe via phone, e-mail and VoIP channels. • Serve as a first line of defense for production-critical issues for EMEA clients, using knowledge of computing and fixed-income markets to solve challenging problems. • Consult on issues ranging from general system usage to more sophisticated numerical problems. • Function as an important link between developers and clients to analyse product gaps, expand program functionality, and assist in prioritizing business requirements. • Help develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance suite implementing industry-standard quality assurance procedures. Requirements: • BA/BS degree (or regional equivalent) in a quantitative or STEM discipline such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, physical sciences, etc… • Analytical experience using a data-driven approach to solve problems and create customer insight. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences in English. • Experience navigating complex cross-functional landscapes in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. • Strong computer skills including… • Hands-on experience with Windows including an understanding of Windows network administration, Windows filesystems, and computer architecture. • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications including automation and scripting through Microsoft Excel functions and macros. • A continuous eagerness to learn with a strong independent drive for researching and synthesizing complex concepts. • Proficiency with Python via Visual Studio Code. • Proficiency with SQL and database architecture using Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. • Experience with Cloud computing including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. • Experience with Ubuntu Linux including knowledge of Linux filesystem, shell scripting (bash/vim/emacs), and permissions. • Relevant coursework or internship experience in macroeconomics, quantitative finance, or a related discipline including coursework relevant to bonds, options, and other derivatives.
