Global Security Operations Center Analyst Remote / Telecommute Jobs

Our client is a leader in the utility and critical infrastructure sector in the Washington, DC area. They are standing up a new Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and is seeking an experienced analyst to help build and shape this function from the ground up. This is an exciting long-term opportunity for a hands-on security professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys designing processes from scratch, and wants to make a lasting impact on organizational resilience, incident readiness, and stakeholder safety. The role is based in Springfield, VA with a hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote). Please note, in accordance with our client contract, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders. Responsibilities: In this role, you’ll be central to establishing GSOC capabilities, implementing workflows, and driving day-to-day operations once the environment is live. You will: • Design, implement, and optimize GSOC workflows, playbooks, and escalation paths. • Monitor global threats, security alerts, and high-risk incidents impacting personnel, assets, or operations. • Utilize Everbridge to manage critical event notifications, dashboards, and workflows. • Conduct analysis using OSINT and other intelligence tools to inform response actions. • Coordinate with internal teams, leadership, and external partners during incidents. • Prepare concise, executive-ready reports and briefings. • Support threat detection, incident escalation, and operational continuity during critical events. This is a high-visibility role with cross-functional collaboration and significant room to influence security operations. ________________________________________ Qualifications: We’re targeting a seasoned security professional with: • 5–10 years of experience in GSOC operations, corporate security, or intelligence analysis. • Expertise in Everbridge Critical Event Management (alerting, workflows, dashboards). • Knowledge of physical security, crisis management, and emergency response. • Experience with real-time threat monitoring and OSINT tools. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive audiences. • Familiarity with security technologies (CCTV, access control, IDS, etc.). Industry experience in utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure is strongly preferred. ________________________________________ Education & Certifications (Preferred, Not Required) • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, or related field (military or law enforcement experience may substitute) • Certifications in any of the following are a plus: o Everbridge Administrator/Specialist o Crisis/Emergency Management (FEMA ICS, CEM) o OSINT/Intelligence Analysis (SANS, McAfee, etc.) ________________________________________ 4 Reasons to Join The Squires Group, Inc.: 1.
