We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to support funding efforts focused on food security, child nutrition, and meal programs. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government funding sources that support food purchasing, meal operations, and nutrition programs. Key Responsibilities: Research grant opportunities related to food insecurity, after-school meal programs, child nutrition, and community food access. Write and submit grant proposals, letters of intent, and applications. Adapt existing program narratives and budgets to meet funder requirements. Track deadlines and submission requirements. Assist with follow-up documentation if grants are awarded. Required Experience: Proven grant writing experience for nonprofit organizations. Experience with food programs, meal programs, or nutrition-related funding. Strong writing, organizational, and deadline management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience securing grants for food purchasing or meal distribution. Familiarity with CACFP, USDA, or child nutrition funding. Knowledge of Texas or federal funding sources. Ability to work independently and remotely. Compensation: Competitive hourly or per-grant rate, based on experience with proven wins this will be verified.
