In this position, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner. Your primary goal is to provide excellent customer service, resolve customer inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 8:00am - 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Responsibilities • Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information • Processes release of information (ROI) requests • Manages requests for documentation and information • Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record • Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems • May train and mentor co-workers • Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements • Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability • Work with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management) • Other duties as assigned Requirements • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience • Must be 18 years of age OR Older • 1+ years of experience in Customer Service within a hospital or healthcare environment • Experience with Microsoft Office products • Ability to train for the first four weeks from 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday CST • Ability to work our normal business hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime Nice-to-haves • Health Information Management (HIM) experience • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting • A clerical or administrative support background • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service • Experience working in a call center • RHIT or RHIA certification • Knowledge of medical terminology • Previous experience communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio-economic backgrounds Benefits • Comprehensive benefits package • Incentive and recognition programs • Equity stock purchase • 401k contribution Apply tot his job
