About the Role: Papa Pal (Caregiver) As a Papa Pal, you will provide part-time companionship and assistance to older adults and families in Spring Hill, FL. Your role will involve supporting clients with daily tasks, such as help around the house, running errands, providing transportation, and most importantly, offering friendly company and emotional support. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your clients and make a real difference in their lives. Our Papa Pals are the heart of our organization, and we are committed to providing them with the training, support, and resources they need to succeed in their roles. Key Responsibilities: Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including conversation, emotional support, and social interaction Assist clients with daily tasks, such as light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation Run errands and provide transportation for clients, as needed Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care and support Use our mobile app to manage your schedule, communicate with clients, and access important resources and support Qualifications and Requirements To be successful as a Papa Pal, you will need to meet the following qualifications and requirements: Essential Qualifications: Age 21 or older Ability to communicate in English Valid U.S. issued driver's license Authorized to work in the United States Able to pass a background check Able to pass a motor vehicle report Proof of valid vehicle insurance with your name on the policy Access to a smartphone Access to a vehicle 2008 or newer Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field Life experience caring for others, such as stay-at-home parents or retirees Ability to speak multiple languages Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities Skills and Competencies To be successful as a Papa Pal, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Kind-hearted, patient, and caring, with a genuine passion for helping others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and families Reliable, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic knowledge of health and wellness, with the ability to support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring Ability to use technology, including our mobile app, to manage your schedule and communicate with clients and caregivers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Papa, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our caregivers.
