Industrial Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for Industrial Engineers (Levels 2, 3, and 4) to join the 737 Moses Lake team located in Moses Lake, Washington, USA. Position Overview: We are seeking Industrial Engineering team members to support the 737 Manufacturing team in a non-standard production environment with focus on major rework and overhaul of post factory operations. The ideal candidates will possess strong strategic and creative-thinking skills, as well as utilize data and analytics to make recommendations on how to support and improve quality processes. It is essential that the candidates can effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams and establish partnerships with senior leaders. Additionally, the candidates will focus on production stability, implementing lean methodologies, assess and perform to rate readiness requirements, and improve quality through structured root cause analysis reviews. Candidates will engage with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be self-starters as well as collaborative team players. Monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments will be key responsibilities for the candidate. Adaptability to changes in tasks, work environment, and work structures is also a crucial strength. Position Descriptions: Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements. Maintains and develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows. Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations. Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel. Completes work flow design and analysis. Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders. Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower arenaflex, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization. Provides product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices. Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met. Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices. Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support of moderate complexity. Reconciles compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field 2 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 3 or more years proficiency in arenaflex Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). 3 or more years of experience working in a team environment. 3 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles 3 or more years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership. 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience developing metrics to drive results and business improvements. Experience in Project Management Proficient in structured problem solving. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Union: This is a union-represented position. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. Onsite: This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Shift: This position is to support 1st shift, with some collaboration possible between 2nd and 3rd shift. Travel: Travel is not a regular requirement of this position.
