Job Description This position provides IT support to assigned systems as a subject matter expert and secondary support to other systems supported by teammates. Position researches and writes technical design specifications, flowcharts, and test scripts. Position acquires and organizes source material including applicable specifications and technical writeups. Coordinates the systems installation with the user department, ensuring satisfactory results. May participate in smaller-scope portions of a larger project as assigned. Works with off-the-shelf systems and modifies features. Responsible for end users’ training on assigned systems, as needed. Works with vendors, depending on systems assigned, on technical requests. Assists with the development and execution of test plans in cooperation with the project team. May also be responsible for report writing in applications. Completes other duties as assigned. Associate's degree or 15 years' experience in Healthcare IT in lieu of degree required. 1 Application Certification (or, if not available, equivalent expert knowledge of supported applications) required. ITIL Certification (in progress) Meets the requirements of IS Analyst II plus the following: Demonstrates ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus. Works with vendors on technical requests. Manages issues and coordinates activities for resolution with appropriate escalation. Resolves and communicates status of complex system issues. Coordinates change management activities. Assists to develop project plans, test plans and test scenarios. Creates reports and demonstrates skills in data mining and other tools. Demonstrates flexibility and acts as a change champion in a changing environment. Understands dependencies of other applications and technologies. Assists in coordination of testing. Identifies inefficiencies and takes initiative to make process improvements with user-group leads. Proactively identifies and initiates process improvement activity within IT and with end users. Provides guidance and support to enhance system use and translates expertise into solutions. Supports implementation, installation, calibration/regression testing and prepares troubleshooting and training documentation. Provides end-user training when needed. Demonstrates ability to apply lessons learned to work environment and enhance processes. Defines best practices and shares with end users to improve application adoption. Attends training to acquire and maintain additional technical and application-specific skills. Obtains ITIL certification. Assists with development of project scope documents and business cases for new technology. Leads and executes small projects when necessary and participates on assigned complex projects.
