THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The IT Engineer - Cloud Platform will be responsible for Ulta's cloud platforms across both GCP and Azure. Their focus will establish and reinforce processes supporting cloud organization, on-boarding, and management of the systems as well as the operationalization of these services. This role will be a key part of cloud adoption and growth in our very fast-paced retail organization. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: • Development Methodology: Ensuring that appropriate methods and tools for the planning, delivery, automation, management, and observability of systems are adopted and used effectively throughout the organization. Aligns direction and leads in the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies, and tools, ensuring consistency across all user groups. • Systems Design: Assesses appropriate design standards, methods, and tools in order to design complex systems and ensures they are applied effectively. Reviews others' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Evaluates impact analysis on major design options, assesses, and manages associated risks. Ensures that the system design balances functional, service quality, and security. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Deliver, monitor, and support cloud workloads on GCP and Azure. • Partner with cross-functional Product teams to ensure delivery of services to support application modernization and adoption. • Work with architecture and engineering teams to implement scalable systems, services, and micro-services. • Design and deliver infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues to ensure systems meet the specifications of the Product teams. • Standardize and automate cloud onboarding and cloud management activities. • Assist in identifying and guiding public cloud migration opportunities across the organization. THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience. • 3+ years cloud management with focus on GCP and Azure. • 3+ years delivering on cloud platform automation solutions. • Experience with operation automation tools, e.g. Argo/Airflow/other. • Extensive knowledge with CI/CD and GitOps tooling (Harness preferred). • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and operational tasks. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, and management in both formal and informal situations. • Strong documentation skills for collaboration across teams. • GCP and Azure certification preferred. • Windows Server and Linux Server experience. • Working knowledge of IaC with Terraform. • Able to prioritize and execute tasks while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment. • Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. • Experience working within an Agile delivery model is preferred. • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and support incident response across Azure and GCP. • Minimal travel required (training/conferences). #LI-CS1 The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $140,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
