JAMF Engineer
Position: JAMF Engineer (Architect-Level) Location: Remote Type: Part-Time Required Qualifications • 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting macOS environments at a senior or architect level. • Expert-level proficiency with JAMF Pro, including: • Policies, configuration profiles • Package deployment • Smart groups, patch management • JAMF API and automation workflows • Strong background in macOS troubleshooting, security, and lifecycle management. • Demonstrated experience architecting or redesigning JAMF environments. • Solid scripting experience (Bash, Python, or other relevant languages). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — must be able to articulate recommendations clearly. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for advanced JAMF Pro issues, configurations, and deployment challenges. • Provide technical leadership on JAMF architecture, governance, and optimization. • Develop and refine policies, profiles, scripts, and automation. • Troubleshoot complex macOS management issues (MDM, profiles, user management, app deployment, security policies, certificates, etc.). • Advise on best practices, environment hardening, and future-state improvements. • Assist with high‑impact tasks such as: • Zero‑touch deployment workflows • Advanced configuration profiles • Integration with identity, security, or SIEM tools • Custom scripting (Bash, Python) • Provide clear, concise communication to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • JAMF 400 or 300‑level certification(s). • Experience with enterprise-scale Apple environments (5,000+ devices). • Familiarity with identity platforms (Azure AD, Okta), SSO, or certificate‑based authentication. • Experience working in a consulting or advisory capacity.
