What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
• Analyze physician/provider documentation to determine diagnoses and procedures
• Utilize encoder software for assigning diagnosis and procedure codes
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff and physicians regarding documentation
• Collaborate with Regional Shared Services to resolve billing and utilization issues
• Stay up-to-date on changes in coding and reimbursement guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications):
• Completion of an AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding program, or Associate's degree in Health Information Management
• CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
• Two years of acute care coding experience
• Current experience in Complex Outpatient or Inpatient coding
• Ability to use standard desktop and windows-based computer systems

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
• 3-5 years of current Complex Outpatient or Inpatient coding experience
• Current experience with remote coding
