As a Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of excellent service to the public. The ideal Customer Service Representative has excellent public relations skills, is adaptable, and has a positive attitude. The Customer Service Division is the first point of public contact allowing you to have a direct impact on the community!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handles inquiries from the public by phone, walk-in or email/correspondence.
Handles owner documents
Instructs the public on DCAD division activities including Commercial, Residential, BPP, Property Records Exemptions or GIS.
Resolves customer issues.
Prepares research in support of various DCAD divisions.
Assists with mail, opening, sort, and scanning.
PREFERRED:
Bilingual in Spanish. (Read and Speak)
Previous customer service, appraisal or tax office, or other office experience.
Starting Salary: $35,000 to $40,653 DOE

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Software.
The ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to assist the customer efficiently.
The ability to concentrate on assigned tasks and to manage time effectively.
The ability to communicate clearly on the telephone and face to face.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down.
The ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of files or equipment.
Applicant must be able to pass a standardized skill test administered by the District
