What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
? Verify patient identities and maintain accurate patient records.
? Process requests for the release of medical information in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
? Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and external entities to safeguard patient privacy.
? Ensure proper handling of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
? Provide coverage for all Health Information Management departments as needed.

What Is Required (Qualifications)
? High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
? Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in acute care or related certification.
? Proficiency in health information systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
? Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
? Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
? Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
? Experience with electronic medical records for at least 1 year.
? Registered Health Information Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician certification.
