The Secretary at United Rocks plays an important part in the organization's mission to foster inclusivity and opportunity for individuals with disabilities through rock climbing. Since its inception in 2021, United Rocks has built a dedicated community through the shared vision of supporting kids and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Secretary plays a role in documenting the organization's impact and ensuring that its operations have the needed information to thrive, helping more individuals with IDD achieve success in climbing.
Job Responsibilities: ? Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the President and team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling emails. ? Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including fundraising meeting minutes, organizational documents, and volunteer records. ? Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries, responding to emails and Slack messages in a timely and professional manner. ? Board Liaison: Assist in the preparation of board meetings, including distributing materials, taking minutes, and coordinating follow-ups. ? Knowledge Manager: Support the planning and execution of events and programs, ensuring all SOPs are up-to-date and being followed. ? Talent Assistant: Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and the organizational matrix data. ? Compliance: Ensure that all organizational policies and procedures are followed, including maintaining compliance with non-profit regulations. Qualifications/Skills: ? Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills. ? Strong written and verbal communication abilities. ? Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively on a diverse and remote team. ? High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. ? Passion for promoting inclusivity and the mission of United Rocks. ? Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus. Education and Experience Requirements: ? Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, or similar role. ? Knowledge of non-profit operations and compliance. ? Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Time Commitment: 10hr/week & Monthly Board Meeeting (first Wednesday night) @ $0/hr
