Role Summary:

Our Powerplant Engineering team is an essential part of the Technical Operations Division. As a Powerplant Engineer Assistant, you?ll work closely with our team to manage engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) support needs alongside Field Service Engineers and major powerplant manufacturers like CFM. This role involves evaluating engineering approaches, coordinating maintenance, and authorizing both on-wing and off-wing engine support.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate on various engineering projects within a maintenance or operational setting.

Gain hands-on experience with aircraft engines under professional supervision.

Assist in coordinating engine maintenance and support with external providers and internal teams.

Participate in special projects and events as needed, contributing directly to Southwest?s initiatives and mission.

Key Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor?s Degree in a relevant field.
