Founded and led by Dr. Briana Weisner, our mission is to provide evidence-based, compassionate care that helps clients confront fears, build psychological flexibility, and live value-filled lives. Wise Mind Psychotherapy is an Illinois-based telehealth practice with a primary client base in Illinois (particularly the Chicago area), while also providing services to clients in other PsyPact-participating states. We primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to our core focus areas, we also work with adults experiencing depression, eating and body image concerns, life transitions, relationship issues, and chronic stress. Learn more about Wise Mind Psychotherapy at www.wisemindps.com Position Overview Wise Mind Psychotherapy is seeking an Illinois based licensed psychologist to join our team as an independent contractor (1099) providing telehealth psychotherapy to adults. This position is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, flexibility, and evidence-based practice, and who enjoy working with motivated adult clients. The practice offers referral opportunities, billing, marketing, and administrative support, allowing clinicians to focus on clinical work. This role is well suited for psychologists seeking the independence of private practice with the benefit of consultation and administrative support. This is a fully remote (telehealth) role. However, clinicians must reside in Illinois. Responsibilities • Provide individual psychotherapy to adults via a secure telehealth platform • Retain full clinical autonomy in treatment planning, scheduling, and caseload size • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the practice’s EHR • Collaborate with the practice on billing-related documentation and risk management procedures • Adhere to HIPAA, applicable clinical policies related to client care and safety, and APA ethical guidelines • Maintain active licensure, professional liability insurance, and a private telehealth workspace • Communicate professionally with clients and practice staff as needed Qualifications • Licensed psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or licensed master’s-level clinician (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) • Up to date licensure in Illinois • Experience or strong interest in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, and perfectionism; secondary specialties welcomed • Training in CBT, ERP, and/or ACT strongly preferred • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a telehealth setting • Must reside in Illinois Compensation and Structure • Compensation is structured as a competitive flat, per-session rate that equates closely to a 60/40 split and is determined by licensure level. Rates are discussed transparently during the interview process. • Fully remote, flexible scheduling • Referral opportunities, billing, EHR, and insurance paneling support provided • Opportunity for consultation in a collaborative, evidence-based environment • This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Clinicians must operate under their own LLC or PLLC prior to beginning clinical services; guidance and resources to support entity formation will be provided if needed.
