Loan Processor/Operations Specialist (Founding Team Member)
Loan Operations Specialist (Founding Team Member) MyLendingPal | Johns Creek, GA (Hybrid / Remote-Flexible) The Opportunity We're hiring our first dedicated Loan Operations Specialist. You will be a founding member of our operations team who will become the heartbeat of every loan transaction. You'll manage loans end-to-end: from initial disclosures through processing, closing, and post-closing delivery. At the same time, you'll help us turn recurring issues into better systems, checklists, and workflows so we can scale without chaos. If you're the type of person who thrives when you own your work, loves solving problems, and wants to grow with a company rather than just work for one, this role is for you. What You'll Do Loan Setup & Initial Disclosures • Prepare and deliver accurate initial disclosures (LE, application package) within compliance timelines • Set up new files in Encompass and ensure data integrity from the start Processing • Order and track third-party services (appraisals, title, VOEs, etc.) • Collect and review borrower documentation • Clear conditions and prepare complete files for underwriting and closing Borrower Communication • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process • Provide proactive updates, answer questions, and set expectations to ensure a smooth experience Third-Party Coordination • Communicate with title companies, appraisers, investors, and other vendors to keep loans moving • Follow up on outstanding items and resolve issues before they become fires Closing Coordination • Review CDs for accuracy and completeness • Coordinate with title/settlement agents on clear-to-close, funding, and scheduling • Help ensure on-time, drama-free closings whenever possible Post-Closing • Prepare and deliver investor loan packages • Clear trailing documents and post-closing conditions • Track and follow up on missing items to keep investor relationships clean Systems, Documentation & Improvement • Turn recurring problems into better processes, checklists, and templates • Help document "the way we do things" so our operations are consistent and scalable • Partner with the founder to test and refine Encompass workflows and other tools as we grow Tech & Tools • Work in Encompass daily • Use internal checklists, templates, and basic automations • Be comfortable clicking around, learning new features, and suggesting improvements Who You Are • Experienced (or a fast learner): 1–3+ years in mortgage operations (processing, closing, and/or post-closing) preferred — but if you're sharp, resourceful, and motivated, we're open to training the right person. • Encompass proficient (or willing to learn): Familiarity with Encompass LOS is a plus, but not required if you're tech-comfortable and a quick study. • Conventional loan knowledge: Experience with Fannie/Freddie conventional loans is preferred. • Systems thinker: You naturally organize messy processes into steps, checklists, and templates. When you see the same issue twice, your instinct is to fix the process, not just patch the file. • Detail-oriented but fast: You catch errors before they become problems, but you don't get paralyzed by perfectionism. • Self-managing: You don't need someone looking over your shoulder to move loans forward. You're comfortable prioritizing your own work based on what's most time-sensitive or impactful. • Strong communicator: You're comfortable talking to borrowers, LOs, title companies, and investors — and you keep everyone informed proactively. • Comfortable with evolving processes: You understand that in a small company, the "right way" today may be improved tomorrow — and that excites you rather than frustrates you. • Ownership mindset: You treat every loan like it's your own deal and take pride in clean, accurate files. • Ambitious: You want to grow into a leadership role as we scale — not just maintain the status quo. What We Offer • Competitive base salary: $55,000 – $80,000, based on experience. • Performance bonuses: Structured per-loan bonus that rewards your impact and grows with our volume (you'll always know how your work translates into compensation). • Growth trajectory: This is a foundational role. High performers will have the opportunity to lead operations, help hire and train future team members, and shape how our loan process runs. • Flexibility: Hybrid/remote options available. Preference for candidates in the Atlanta metro area for initial training and occasional in-person days. • Working rhythm: Normal working hours are roughly standard business hours (Eastern time), with occasional flexibility around closings or urgent issues. • Your voice matters: We'll look to you for input on how our operations should run — not just for status updates. • Startup energy, family values: We move fast and build things, but we also treat our team like family. Current Volume & Expectations You will work on 10-15 loans per month. For a highly organized person, this is very manageable while still allowing time for process improvement and system-building. As we grow: • We will add capacity (both people and tools), so you're not simply absorbing unlimited files. • Your role will evolve from being hands-on in every file to leading, training, and optimizing our operations. We're looking for someone who can handle today's loans while helping us build the infrastructure for tomorrow's volume. How to Apply Please send: • Your resume • A brief note telling us: — Why this role excites you — One example of how you turned a recurring problem into a better process, checklist, or system in a past role (doesn't have to be in mortgage) Equal Opportunity Employer MyLendingPal is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
