Position: Local Map Expert for Turkey Geospatial Data Operations Remote, Turkey • research, assess and acquire any type of information for the creation and maintenance of Tom Tom Map Databases • scan the local market for relevant data sources • perform and support quality checks • develop and maintain working relationships with existing and potential providers/partners as well as local authorities • Continue to build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers • this role is to be a country sourcing and local intelligence specialist for Türkiyewith expertise in the local language geographical know-how, mapping regulations, local legislation knowledge and good industry connections • work remote! • work under moderate supervision and receives direction from more senior roles • be part of a multicultural team What you’ll need: • 2+ years of work experience in GIS or in industry tools for geospatial data analysis • knowledge of known and common GIS software and understanding of accurate geospatial data • Familiarity with the main AI engines and how to use them best • language skills: Turkish as a native speaker and proficient in English (both written and verbal) • strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow successful negotiations with our partners and networking. • support and understand map quality for a given country/countries • knowledge of geographic source data handling and data licenses • integrates local regulations into compliant map development • great problem-solving and analytical skills • ability to think out of the box and bring new ideas to the table • ability to work remote! • solid organization skills; the ability to work independently is critical, as well as contributing to the Tom Tom Team What is nice to have: • knowledge of other languages from Central Asia Countries • basic programming in SQL/Python • good knowledge of AI, especially ClaudeAI • familiarity with FME software What we offer A competitive compensation package, of course.
