Logistics Coordinator
Description • Own the end-to-end flow of Gruns’ eco-friendly cleaning products from our fulfillment centers to doorsteps across the United States, ensuring every shipment arrives on time, in perfect condition, and with the lowest possible carbon footprint. • Build and maintain relationships with a nationwide network of 3PL partners, parcel carriers, and freight brokers; negotiate rates, monitor SLAs, and drive continuous-improvement projects that cut transit times and shipping costs without compromising service quality. • Serve as the single point of contact for all inbound and outbound logistics: schedule pickups, create BOLs, track loads in real time, and proactively communicate exceptions to internal teams and customers so no one is left guessing where their order is. • Analyze weekly shipping data to spot trends—late deliveries, damaged goods, regional delays—and turn those insights into action plans that raise on-time delivery from 94 % to 98 % within your first six months. • Collaborate daily with Customer Experience, Operations, and Finance to balance inventory levels, forecast demand spikes, and design contingency routes that keep shelves stocked during peak seasons and promotional launches. • Pilot sustainable packaging initiatives: work with suppliers to source compostable mailers, right-size cartons, and consolidate multi-item orders, cutting packaging waste by 25 % and saving an estimated $50 k annually. • Maintain meticulous records in our ERP and WMS systems, ensuring 100 % data accuracy for audits, carbon-impact reporting, and duty drawback claims; reconcile freight invoices weekly and flag discrepancies before they hit the P&L. • Lead carrier QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) to review KPI dashboards, celebrate wins, and co-create roadmaps for service enhancements such as weekend delivery pilots or regional micro-fulfillment nodes. • Champion a culture of safety and compliance: verify DOT credentials, hazmat certifications, and insurance coverage for every new carrier; conduct spot audits and corrective-action plans that keep Gruns’ safety rating at “Satisfactory” or better. • Create and refine SOPs that scale—from how to process a same-day expedite to how to file a damage claim—so that as Gruns triples in volume, the playbook you write today still works tomorrow. • Be the voice of the customer inside the warehouse: translate delivery feedback into root-cause analyses, then partner with Ops to redesign pick/pack workflows that cut mispicks by 40 % and boost customer NPS. • Experiment with emerging tech—route-optimization software, IoT sensors, EDI integrations—and present ROI-backed recommendations to leadership every quarter, keeping Gruns at the forefront of modern, sustainable logistics. Requirements • 2+ years of hands-on logistics coordination experience in e-commerce, CPG, or a high-growth startup environment. • Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/WMS platforms (NetSuite, ShipStation, or similar) and intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic macros). • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to negotiate with carriers at 9 a.m. and calm a frustrated customer at 9 p.m. if needed. • Data-driven mindset: comfortable pulling raw shipping reports, spotting anomalies, and translating numbers into actionable process improvements. • Nice-to-have: familiarity with domestic freight modes (LTL, FTL, parcel), DOT regulations, and sustainable packaging certifications such as FSC or BPI. ️ Benefits • Fully remote role with flexible hours—work from anywhere in the U.S. and design a schedule that fits your life. • Competitive salary plus quarterly performance bonuses tied to on-time delivery and cost-savings targets. • Annual $1,000 professional-development stipend for courses, conferences, or certifications that sharpen your logistics expertise.
