Metadata Operations Associate

About the position Responsibilities • Oversee the optimization of a high volume of descriptive metadata in English. • Ensure copy deliverable timelines are successfully met for fast-paced content launches. • Enforce style guide and metadata specifications, adjusting internal standards as needed. • Effectively communicate creative copy specifications with internal and external partners. • Coordinate the translation of metadata across several languages. • Monitor and report on system performance, identifying defects and ensuring reliability and availability. • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with initiatives and projects. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in communication, media, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. • 1+ year of editorial copyediting and proofreading experience. • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with a willingness to complete copywriting, proofreading, and keyword tagging tests. • Ability to write in a variety of styles, adjusting for purpose, audience, tone, and guidelines. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple, time-sensitive requests in a high-pressure environment. • Hands-on experience with content management systems and publishing workflows. • Ability to support an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. Nice-to-haves • Film and television subject matter expertise, including interest in current events, pop culture, and sports entertainment. • Airtable and CMS experience is highly preferred. • Exceptional technical, analytical, organization, and research experience. • Familiarity with Gracenote or other metadata aggregation services. • Strong comfort level with taxonomy management and metadata best practices. • Curiosity for consumer insight research, cultural nuance, and linguistic diversity. • Knowledge of other languages in addition to English preferred.
