Metadata Strategies Lead
Job Detail We seek applications from highly motivated and innovative individuals to join our team as a Metadata Strategies Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of innovative metadata workflows, collaborating closely with internal teams across the organization and with technology partners. As a key institutional priority, we are embracing a transformative approach to metadata strategy, evolving systems and processes that manage and disseminate our digital archival collections. • Design and lead projects focused on metadata remediation and enrichment • Analyze archival description source metadata to identify opportunities for reconciliation, normalization, and enrichment • Develop and implement metadata enrichment strategies that strengthen and expand our linked data infrastructure Required Skills and Qualifications • MLIS from an ALA-accredited program; undergraduate and additional graduate degree in an appropriate discipline preferred • Minimum 5 years related professional experience • Strong knowledge of current metadata standards used in libraries archives, and museums • Technical expertise in OpenRefine and other computational methods and tools for data retrieval, analysis, reconciliation, and transformation Benefits • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance coverage • 403(b) Employee Investment retirement plan - with up to 5% Getty Match • Getty contribution of 6%, on behalf of employee, to 401(a) retirement account • Education Assistance and professional development Apply tot his job
