Mobile Crisis Intern

Santé Group Companies is a leader in community-based behavioral and mental health services, seeking a Mobile Crisis Specialist Intern to join their frontline crisis intervention team. The intern will work with the team to assess and evaluate crisis situations and develop crisis plans for clients in the community, while receiving on-the-job training and mentorship. Responsibilities Perform behavioral health assessments, providing a diagnostic impression with the supervision of an LCSW-C or other equally licensed mental health professional Effectively communicate clients’ needs while making internal agency or community referrals Demonstrate the capacity to work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, dual diagnosis, and geriatric Complete clinical and non-clinical documentation in an accurate and thorough manner Demonstrate a working knowledge of the medical implications when working with substance abuse consumers Knowledge and familiarity with community resources, both mental health and non-mental health Serve as a liaison for collaboration with other involved parties, including families, friends, and community partners Educate individuals about mental health, substance abuse, available community resources, and the agency’s services Abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to confidentiality and protected health information Skills Must be currently enrolled in master's level degree program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field of study At least one (1) year of professional experience (experience working within a crisis environment preferred) Company Overview Restoring hope and building resilience together.
