About the Role As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional service to our customers at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, setting the tone for their travel experience. We're looking for friendly, patient problem-solvers who enjoy multitasking and working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly assistance to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers. Work collaboratively as a team to ensure the success of our organization. Deliver exceptional customer service to individuals wishing to travel, use freight or baggage service by addressing their needs. Handle various aspects of check-in and registration, including operating a computerized retail location system, boarding, baggage service, reservations, and resolving related grievances and issues. Greet and handle customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Process transactions, including handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets. Calculate charges, make change, and balance daily transactions. Check in baggage and freight. Answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and provide assistance on a case-by-case basis. Manage upset customers due to over-sold flights, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage. Resolve customer complaints quickly and within guidelines established by the organization. Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general inquiries from customers and other airport visitors. Complete forms and reports as required by the organization. Write anomaly and complaint reports as necessary. Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. The ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job. The capacity to read documents, follow instructions, learn, and understand check-in procedures, rules, and regulations. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work under stressful circumstances. The ability to complete Customer Service Agent training program with an 80% or higher average and pass an assessment period. Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis. The ability to work under tight time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft. A well-groomed appearance, in accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Agreement. The ability to perform all job functions within a confined space. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with airline operations and procedures. Ability to work in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
