Part-Time Social Media Content Creator
About Us World Of Wonder and Park View Academy have been caring for infants and toddlers in Hoboken and Jersey City since 2008 and 2019, respectively. We operate three locations. We're known for loving teachers, strong community, and an involved owner. We're growing, opening our newest location on Monitor Street in Jersey City February 2026 — and we need someone to help us show the world what makes our centers special. The Role We're looking for a part-time Content Creator to capture the everyday magic at our childcare centers. You'll spend time at each of our four locations taking photos, shooting short videos, and gathering stories that we'll use on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This isn't about staged, perfect content. It's about real moments — a toddler's proud face after stacking blocks, a teacher singing during circle time, babies laughing during tummy time. You'll help families see what it feels like to be part of our community. We also want someone who's plugged into what's trending. When a sound is blowing up on TikTok or a new format is taking over Reels, you'll know about it — and you'll think about how we can use it to showcase our centers. What You'll Do Capture content across all locations (15-18 hours/week): • Take 15-20 high-quality photos per location each week • Shoot 3-5 short videos (15-60 seconds) per location each week • Gather quick quotes from teachers and parents • Capture behind-the-scenes moments (meal prep, classroom setup, outdoor play) Stay on top of trends (ongoing): • Monitor TikTok, Instagram Reels, and parenting content for trending sounds, formats, and ideas • Bring ideas to the team: "This trend is blowing up — here's how we could do our version" • Spot opportunities to create timely, relevant content that could go viral locally Organize and deliver content (2-3 hours/week): • Upload all content to shared Google Drive folder by Thursday each week • Label and organize files by location and content type • Flag your best shots and any trend-ready content so our team knows what to prioritize Collaborate with our team: • Work with our VA who handles posting and scheduling • Coordinate with directors to know what's happening at each location • Share ideas for content that would resonate with local parents Weekly Schedule (Flexible) Monday -WOW Harrison (Hoboken) - 4 hours Tuesday - WOW Jackson (Hoboken) - 4 hours Wednesday - WOW Monitor (Jersey City) - 4 hours Thursday - Park View Academy (Jersey City) - 4 hours Friday - Overflow content (as needed) - 4 hours We're flexible on exact days and times. What matters is that you're present during active classroom hours (typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) when the best moments happen. (12pm - 3 pm is Nap time) Who You Are: Required: • You have a smartphone with a good camera and know how to use it • You have an eye for candid, warm, authentic moments — not stiff or overly posed • You're comfortable around infants and toddlers (experience in childcare is a plus but not required) • You're reliable, organized, and can work independently • You understand what performs well on Instagram and TikTok • You actively follow social media trends and can spot what's about to blow up • You can get to all four locations (Hoboken and Jersey City) Bonus points if you: • Have experience building a TikTok account or creating viral content • Have worked in childcare, education, or family-focused industries • Know basic video editing (trimming, adding text/captions, syncing to trending audio) • Are bilingual in Spanish and English • Follow parenting, mom, or family content creators and know what resonates with that audience What We're NOT Looking For: • Overly polished, corporate-style content • Someone who needs direction on every shot • Posed, stiff photos that don't capture real emotion • Someone who doesn't use TikTok or Instagram regularly We want someone who can walk into a classroom, see a beautiful moment happening, and capture it without disrupting it — and who can also say, "Hey, this would be perfect for that trending sound."
