Payroll Manager

The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll processes across the Genus organization’s international operations. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution, compliance with various country-specific regulations, and alignment with company policies and processes. The Global Payroll Manager coordinates with regional HR and finance teams to handle payroll discrepancies, tax filings, and benefits administration where appropriate. Paramount to this position are strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex global payroll systems efficiently. This role plays a critical part in maintaining employee satisfaction and financial accuracy on a global scale. The salary range for this position is ($110,000.00 - $125,000.00) USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This is a remote based opportunity with preference to be located in the US Central or Eastern time zones. Ideal location would be in or close to one of our US based HQ's (Nashville, TN area or Madison, WI area), but these are preferences. • Be accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges • Make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan • Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers • Be required to have in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own discipline and knowledge of other disciplines • Manage a team of professionals and/or supervisors; adapts plans and priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges • Impact the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives • 2+ years leadership and conflict resolution experience • 5+ years Payroll administration experience • Experience with vendor management • Computer skills; Word and Excel experience • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and desire to keep current with future changes • Good verbal and written communication skills Genus is an agricultural biotechnology pioneer.
