If yes, LeapPoint has a great opportunity for a People & Change Consultant where you will play a key role in ensuring digital transformation projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget through change management best practices that increase technology adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. This is often in parallel to activities other consultants are engaged in for the technology side of digital transformation projects. The change manager will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI, and the achievement of results and outcomes. While a People & Change Consultant may or may not have supervisory responsibility, interpersonal and leadership skills will be crucial for engaging and advising customers toward successful change. This person often coaches senior leadership and executive customers in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor, and advises all levels of management on how to help their direct reports navigate change. The People & Change Consultant will support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. Note that this is a remote, telecommute position. As a People & Change Manager you will have the opportunity to: • Implement transformation methods with clients, including communications, engagement and behavioral and cultural change • Support the change management activities within a structured process framework • Create communication and training plans and deliverables to enable smooth implementation of the strategy • Support training and communication as part of change management • Track implementation progress and report back to management • Conduct post-implementation reviews • Oversee and lead change management projects, including the researching, implementation and assessment from start to finish • Design the approach to managing change associated with a given client project • Collaborate with client management to gather and analyze operational information and perform change needs assessment and discovery • Consult with client staff members and identifying and managing anticipated resistance • Evaluate the change impact and organizational readiness for change • Evaluate resistance in adopting the change at the user, process, and technology level • Evaluate the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines on reducing the impact • Identify suitable communication strategies, reviewing the plans and delivering reports to the executives • Communicate change management program guidelines to appropriate stakeholders • Coach client managers and staff to improve implementation communication • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration necessary for change management • Anticipate, acknowledge, and address any client issues and resolve these with the intent of exceeding client expectation Additional responsibilities may include: • Consult and coach project teams, senior leaders, managers, and leaders at customer organizations • Support organizational design, and definition of roles and responsibilities • Coordinate efforts with other subject matter experts • Integrate change management activities into larger project plans • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress The following skills will set you up for success: • Experience and knowledge of change management principles supporting technology related projects • Prosci’s methodology and ADKAR Model and tools experience & Certification • Emotional intelligence, as demonstrated by an ability to manage oneself and relationships toward mutual goals • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and project management skills • Comfort operating independently, managing multiple tasks, and adapting in ambiguous situations • Ability to develop and deliver creative business solutions for complex problems (consulting experience is a plus) • Technology savvy, and highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Education/Certification An undergraduate degree in the behavioral sciences, communications, or business. A graduate degree is a plus. The candidate must have had formal coursework, training, or a certification in change management. Supervisory Responsibility Project-level supervision and enterprise-level coaching, but no direct reports with formal supervisory needs. Travel Requirements Travel is suspended due to COVID-19 until tentatively early 2022. Once the suspension is lifted, this position will require approximately 10-20% travel.
