People & Culture Lead AMER (Temporary Contract Role for 6 months)
About the position Responsibilities • Develop and implement regional strategies to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace aligned with company culture and values. • Manage key lifecycle touchpoints, including onboarding, performance management, career development, and offboarding. • Continuously analyze feedback and metrics to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. • Partner with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align and implement best practices in employee experience and engagement. • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for the AMER region (Canada, US, and Latin America), ensuring compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. • Monitor and implement updates in regional labor legislation and payroll regulations, ensuring alignment with legal standards and mitigating compliance risks. • Partner with internal teams, business partners, and external providers to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with country-specific regulations. • Oversee workplace experience activities and collaborate with People & Workplace coordinators to maintain an excellent work environment. • Develop and promote well-being initiatives focused on physical, mental, and emotional health, aligning with both regional needs and global company objectives. • Manage and lead a team of People & Culture professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. • Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation and knowledge-sharing. • Ensure the team is aligned with company priorities and effectively executing HR initiatives. • Act as a key partner to business stakeholders and COEs, ensuring HR solutions support organizational objectives. • Stay informed on regional talent acquisition activities, ensuring timely follow-up on open positions in coordination with Talent Acquisition leads. • Provide local support for recruitment processes, including interviews and assessments when necessary. • Support the implementation of new HR tools such as payroll providers or data management systems. • Establish and oversee processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. • Monitor workflows, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions for high-quality HR data management. Requirements • At least 8+ years of experience in HR, People & Culture, or a similar leadership role. • Experience managing and coaching team members, providing strategic guidance and operational support. • A deep understanding of regional payroll and labor compliance (AMER region) or a strong ability to quickly navigate compliance complexities. • A proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business partners, HR teams, and COEs. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
