WHO WE ARE HIRING: Performance Testing Engineer WHAT YOU WILL DO: HTG has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical Performance Test Engineer that will design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure applications and systems meet performance requirements, identifying bottlenecks and recommend solutions for optimization. Responsibilities: Our Performance Test Engineer will join our Quality Engineering team. You'll work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and drive solutions that improve system efficiency. • Design and implement performance testing strategies for web, backend, and cloud-based systems. • Develop and execute load, stress, soak, spike, and endurance tests using industry-standard tools. • Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations for system and application performance. • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and DevOps to ensure performance is considered throughout the SDLC. • Build and maintain performance testing frameworks and reusable scripts. • Support CI/CD integration for performance tests and contribute to continuous testing practices. • Monitor system behavior using observability tools and create detailed performance reports. • Participate in root cause analysis of performance issues and help triage production incidents related to system latency or instability. Minimum Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of experience in performance and load testing • 3+ years of experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, or similar • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) • 3+ years of experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) • 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic) • 3+ years of experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript) and/or test automation frameworks • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating on large-scale projects Preferred Qualifications: • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets. • Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs, and web technologies • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and performance testing methodologies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) • Familiarity with APM tools and distributed tracing • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies • ISTQB or other performance testing certifications Performance Testing Engineer WHO WE ARE: At HHS Tech Group (HTG), our work matters, and each of us makes a difference in the lives of people every day.
