Day in the Life: Back End Pharmacy Support Staff As a Back End Pharmacy Support staff member, you will be responsible for: Receiving product deliveries, pulling and staging product for distribution, and rotating stock Coordinating activities with delivery drivers and ensuring accurate order fulfillment Packaging and dispensing medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy Preparing finished prescriptions and performing light warehouse duties Conducting physical inventories of medication and scanning medication pending for delivery Sorting baskets for delivery by facility units, location, and delivery times Key Responsibilities As a Pharmacy Support Staff member, your primary responsibilities will include: Inventory Management: Receiving, stocking, and rotating medication and supplies Order Fulfillment: Preparing and packaging medication for delivery, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Customer Support: Collaborating with delivery drivers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction Warehouse Operations: Performing light warehouse duties, maintaining a clean and organized work environment Inventory Control: Conducting physical inventories, scanning medication, and reporting discrepancies Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, as required by state law One (1) or more years of experience in a pharmacy, retail, or medical setting Verifiable high school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the long-term care industry Additional skills or experience in pharmacy operations, inventory management, or customer support Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in order fulfillment and inventory management Communication Skills: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, delivery drivers, and customers Organizational Skills: Prioritizing tasks, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment Teamwork: Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Omnicare and CVS Health, we invest in our employees' growth and development.
