Will you join us? Chamberlain College is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our MSN program. The typical course of instruction may include: NR517 - Policy & Economics of Healthcare Delivery This course examines healthcare policies and economics on a national and global scale. General economic principles provide the lens for examining healthcare delivery systems, delivery models, and consumers and providers of healthcare services. Legal, political, regulatory and ethical factors influencing healthcare-delivery and economics are investigated and strategies are proposed for policy development. The influence of nurses in policy making and healthcare advocacy is also emphasized. Responsibilities: • Inspire students to complete their programs by providing regular, meaningful feedback about their academic performance, development and participation while encouraging them to engage fully in their education • Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least 4 days per week, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments • Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams and writing assignments • Exhibit Chamberlain Care™ by displaying behaviors of care, respect and professionalism, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation and respect among all You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you meet these requirements: • MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree are required • A minimum of 2 years online teaching experience at the graduate level (preferred) • An active unencumbered Compact RN nursing license (preferred) • Illinois RN nursing license required • Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction • Faculty must have excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online: In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
