Job Description Role: Principal Software Engineer (Oracle EBS / Cloud – HCM) Start: ASAP Duration: Salary: $150-$175K depending on skills and qualifications Location: Remote Description of work / project: This position is responsible for delivering successful technical solutions for the Oracle EBS platform, specifically in the HCM and Cloud domains. The individual is responsible for development and support activities in domain with minimal supervision and guidance. A successful candidate will have a solid record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and a proven track record of working efficiently with business, functional, and technical teams. This role’s focus is on the development, maintenance, and support of new and existing Oracle EBS HCM and Cloud functionality. Required Skills: • Knowledge of enterprise frameworks, systems integrations, software development and testing methodologies is required • Technical expertise/knowledge of development tools and processes • Strong knowledge of developing interface and conversion routines • Advanced knowledge of the development life cycle including testing process and methods, variable programming fundamentals, conditional execution, data structures, compilation and debugging tools • Advanced knowledge of Agile and object-oriented software development methodologies • Generating process documentation • Knowledge and experience with: o PL/SQL, XML, BI Publisher, Alerts and Workflow development customizations and extensions o Oracle Visual Builder Studio • Opening, managing, and resolving Oracle service requests with Oracle support • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle suggested standards and approach for delivering EBS and Cloud solutions • Familiarity with Oracle suggested standards and approach for delivering EBS and Cloud work products • Technical knowledge of some or all of the Cloud applications suite of products: o Core HR o Absence Management o Time and Labor o Compensation o Performance management o Talent / Workforce Management – Recruiting o Reporting – OTBI/BI-SQL o Payroll o Learning Management o Benefits • Ability to: o Work within a team environment. o Manage oneself in a complex, high speed, self-correcting environment obtaining desirable results. o Effectively facilitate and lead meetings. o Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. o Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. o Be self-motivated. o Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work objectives o Meet time commitments on multiple tasks with quality deliverables in unsupervised environment. o Demonstrate excellent oral & written communication skills. o Demonstrate strong understanding and experience of application integrations within the Oracle E-Business Suite platform with other systems o Support and maintain existing EBS extensions o Periodically perform impact analysis of Oracle product updates o Reverse engineer complex modules and enhancements to diagnose root cause of user identified data issues o Read, write, speak and understand English.
