About the role We're seeking a strategic Public Relations & Affiliate Manager to drive brand visibility and revenue growth through earned media and affiliate partnerships. In this role, you'll support our PR efforts by crafting compelling brand narratives, building strong media relationships, and securing high-impact coverage across top-tier outlets. Additionally, you'll expand our affiliate marketing program, identifying and nurturing partnerships that drive both awareness and sales. This role shapes how Grüns, Cübs, Nütrops, and future products show up in the world, blending traditional PR, digital marketing, and creative storytelling to drive growth through media and affiliate initiatives. This role will report directly to the Director of PR and Affiliate Marketing. This role is part of our remote HQ! We are open to speaking with candidates from all locations, but candidates based in the NYC area are preferred. We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a bi-annual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL. In this role, you will: • Actively pitch to top-tier wellness, lifestyle, and business publications to secure valuable earned media coverage • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and affiliate commerce managers in the wellness and lifestyle space • Develop compelling press materials and brand stories that bring Grüns’ unique value propositions to life, while tapping into cultural moments and wellness trends to position Grüns at the forefront of modern nutrition. • Secure thought-leadership and media opportunities for the leadership team to elevate brand credibility and visibility • Collaborate with influencer marketing and partnerships teams to plan and execute high-impact brand moments that drive awareness and conversion. • Track and report on media mentions, maintain article clippings, and manage media lists • Support PR campaigns for product launches, partnerships, and cultural moments that drive brand awareness • Identify and onboard new affiliate partners across content, loyalty, affinity, and review verticals • Adjust CPA rates to maximize ROI and test flat-fee media to uncover new growth levers. • Stay ahead of evolving media landscape trends and identify emerging platforms and storytelling formats We're looking for someone who: • Has 5+ years of PR experience in the wellness, CPG, or lifestyle industries • Demonstrates a proven track record of securing top-tier media placements across digital, print, and broadcast • Possesses strong experience managing media relationships with journalists and editors • Brings experience in affiliate-driven PR, including securing coverage through commerce-focused media partners and placements in gift guides. • Prior experience leading PR campaigns from ideation to execution, particularly for product launches • Is skilled in adjusting CPA rates strategically and evaluating flat-fee media opportunities for incrementality • Exhibits exceptional writing skills for both media pitching and internal communications • Works collaboratively across teams to align PR efforts with broader company goals • Takes initiative to develop creative media angles and storytelling opportunities that break through traditional PR norms • Adapts quickly to media trends and shifting market dynamics • Is results-driven, measuring success through tangible outcomes in placements, awareness, and conversions • Is proficient with media database tools (e.g., Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater) • Has familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms (e.g., CJ, Impact, Skimlinks, Rakuten, LTK) A bit about us...
